ETA has established a Professional Development Grant program to support teachers wishing to further their professional knowledge.
If you are interested in applying for a grant, please follow these steps:
- If the conference is held by CTA, reference the CTA conference grant information below to see if you qualify for a CTA-sponsored grant.
- Ask your administrator if they will sponsor your attendance at the conference or professional development workshop. Click here for EESD conference request form
- If your costs cannot be covered by either of the above options, you may apply for funding through the ETA Professional Development Grant Committee.
To be considered for an ETA Professional Development Grant, please complete the form linked below. The Professional Development Grant Committee will meet every other month for the remainder of the 2021-22 school year to review each application and recommend to the ETA Board for a final decision.
Currently, the maximum grant amount is $250, to be reimbursed directly to the ETA member. Teachers are eligible to receive one grant per school year. If funds are limited, priority will be given to teachers who have not previously received a grant. Grant funds may be used to cover the costs of conference fees and registration, transportation, parking fees, housing, and meals.
Important: If you need to hear back about a grant request prior to February, please submit the request as soon as possible and we’ll do our best to meet to discuss it. Requests received after the following due dates will not be considered until the next meeting date:
Cycle 1: January 28th for final approval by the February 1st Eboard meeting
Cycle 2: March 25th for final approval by the April 5th Eboard meeting
Cycle 3: May 27th for final approval by the June 7th Eboard meeting
