MOU and Schedules

(Note: Bulldog Tech and LSI schedules will be modified to reflect their programs’ instructional blocks.)

MOU Highlights

  • Members can work remotely or from their classroom. Inform your site administrator by August 18 if you want to work from your classroom. If you are going to change your work location from one to the other, inform your site administrator before making the change.
  • Per SB98, classroom teachers must have live interaction daily with students. Per the attached schedules, classroom teachers in elementary can arrange their content blocks but should follow the bell schedule.
  • You are able to adjust your schedule within your content block to best meet the needs of your students. (Whole class, small group, independent work, etc. can all be adjusted at your discretion).
  • Addition of Advisory class to Middle School Schedule and a $250 stipend for all middle school teachers each semester for administering the class. There will be no grading necessary as part of the Advisory period.
  •  There will be no general education elementary combination classes.
  • Leaves – Members who are quarantined, awaiting a COVID-19 diagnosis or get a positive diagnosis can access leave under the FFCRA and receive full pay and benefits for two weeks. (See MOU and FAQ for details)
  • Live interaction needs to happen in all content blocks but the teacher decides how to set up each block (For example, you might do whole group, small group, and independent work in a content block one day and just whole group on another day).  If all students are doing independent work at some point during a content block, the teacher needs to be logged on (via Zoom or Google meets) in case a student needs to pop in to ask a question or get some help.
  • At least an hour of prep time has been built into every day for every schedule (more than an hour on some days).
